trying: experiment on DotA heroes

We’ve playing Dota for more than a month now… I’m using Lina Inverse. I can’t say I’ve mastered her skills yet coz I often get killed in the battle, but I’m getting better now. Jay has been training me.

My playmates Wyna – a.k.a. Dragon (Jay’s younger sister), James – a.k.a. Hawk (Jay’s younger brother) and Jay – a.k.a. Falcon are DotA addicts. Once we’re in the house, automatically, it’s DotA time! We’ve been sleeping late… most often than not we sleep after 12 midnight. On weekends, it’s even worse! 2:30 am or 3 am!

My playmates have been experimenting on their heroes. They would use different heroes to see which is best for them, as for me, I only have 1 hero, and that’s Lina. Until last night I’ve decided to give it a go. I used Zeus, the Lord of Olympia. Like Lina, to keep him alive, you have to position him behind the “Red Guy” (as Jay calls him) so that the hit is received by the Red Guy instead of him and Zeus assists his troops by constant nuking. I’m having the same problem with Zeus, his strikes are powerful but he’s terribly slow (or maybe I just don’t have the right items).

In the end, we lost. but i realized it’s fun to learn and use other heroes. I also tried a campaign which was slow paced and I’m gaining a number of troops. I’ve also sent my peasants to another gold mine and build a town hall there. It’s fun but not as exciting as the LAN game.
